Want an entry-level position with a future?
With the Deck Watch Rating (DWR) certificate (Issued under regulation II/4 of the International Convention on the Standards of Training, Certification and watchkeeping for Seafarers, 1978 as amended (STCW)), you’ll be qualified to work as a deck crew member and perform navigational watch duties on vessels of 500GT or more anywhere in the world.
The DWR role can be a perfect first step towards becoming a watchkeeper, which is a crucial role on the bridge.
From DWR you can progress to Able Seafarer Deck (AB Deck)
