Advanced Sea Survival Nelson Feb

Course Info: Two day comprehensive theoretical and practical course required by crew
competing in offshore (category 1) races. At least 30% of crew require Advanced Sea Survival for Cat 1 racing.

Day 1 – In classroom theory learning

Day 2 – In classroom theory and 2 hours of wet drills at pool.

Qualification:
Advanced Sea Survival (Recognised by Yachting NZ & World
Sailing).

Wet drills satisfy Maritime NZ Training & Record book requirements. *Wet drills may be completed on their own for commercial domestic skippers – There are no certificate for completing wet drills only, but we can sign off any official training records.

Prerequisites:
No prerequisites required. Although, coastal sailing experience recommended. Water confidence required for wet drills
